Stella Maris is a family owned and operated store for Catholic books, music, video, and gifts.

Our mission is to help people grow in their faith by providing books, movies, music, other products, expertise and services, which are consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.

Our goal is to bring people together by demonstrating their “oneness” with each other through the Holy Spirit.

In 1987, Kathy Lilla founded Morning Star Christian Center on Admiral Street in Providence Rhode Island as a non-profit ministry to produce Catholic events to help grow the faith. She has produced some great events, including speakers like:

• Father Corapi
• Father Groeschel
• Marcus Grodi
• and many other local and regional events.

The store was intended to support her ministry, but over the years became more burdensome than helpful. Kathy's Morning Star Christian Center is not and never was related to the local Protestant stores called "Morning Star Book & Gift."

In 2007, the Fantasia family took over the store as a ministry with a different focus. We hope to continue with the best of the old, while bringing some new products in that show the depth and beauty of Catholicism. We're also going to provide educational opportunities for our customers, and do what we can to help grow the faith.
